Our Christmas Together: Act 5

Lala floated right down between Romulo and the smoke monster. She looked pissed and was about to take her anger out on the monster, not Romulo this time. The smoke monster flowed back and came to one point to the ground, forming into a tar creature that had a revolting smell to it. It looked a tar humanoid with black smog coming out of it lungs. It thundered out a mighty roar and splattered out chunks of black mucus and tar at her drizzling her like an ice cream cone. Romulo let out a groan of anger as he got covered in the black mucus. Lala didn't give a shit at the moment.

"Let's dance," she said.

The tar monster just roared again in anger, ready for the battle.

"But first I need a partner."

She moved her gaze to the porch to see Henna, walking out, a slight smirk on her face.

"I can do this alone."

"Be glad I brought back-up," Henna said as more people came outside.

"I'll have the skies."

"If only you let me have the land."

"Deal," Lala stated, floating upwards.

Saver soon flew out the sky, with his angel wings, and joined the alien.

"May I have this dance?" he asked.

"If only you let me lead," Lala said.

"Ladies' first."

She had a smile on her face she started to fly. They were free of gravity and were in sync with each other. They seemed to be dancing with grace with perfect harmony in the snow skies. Then Lala took the first shot, firing down pink orbs of pure energy down at the monster. She glided in an upper arch to avoid the monster's reach. Her orbs only did little damage, but still hurt it. Next Saver summoned a scythe. The metal glowed and beamed in the grey sky. He sailed down with great speed and sliced off an arm. But the monster only mocked at the angel, as it reattached its arm.

Henna grabbed the manholes covers and three them at the monster. The monster just smiled as the covers went inside its body. Then she tried shooting her own dark pink orbs at it, it was like Lala, it had some effect. Afterward Calida run out of the house and had in her staff next to her. She used her magic to pick up the snow and turn it into ice. She then launched the ice shards into the creature. The tar monster just smiled, again, and absorbed the shards.

"You need to hit the middle of it!!" Damien shouted form the porch. He couldn't see like the others, but he could see the tar monster had a weakness. In the middle of the tar was a heavy metal core, something glowing red against the black. It was small, like a baseball.

The others looked at him briefly and said in unison, "Okay"

Henna made the first move this time and shot energy orbs at one point, trying to dig into the black mass. The monster let out a ghastly growl and a whip appeared from its side. The whip made a snapping sound in the air and aimed right for the hostess. Lucky she was shoved out the way, as the whip smashed down to the concrete of the street, making it crack. Mike had saved Henna but caused them to land in a pile of snow. But it didn't stop them.

"Thanks," she said with a smile.

"Anytime," he responded.

Then they bolted in opposite directions when the whip slammed into the snow, making it exploded like glitter in the air. Lala and Henna used their energy orbs to digging into the monster but more whip appendages formed to swat at them and even tried to grab them.

Soon the monster stopped playing in the defense and started to attack. It shot smile at people to slow them down and used it whip arms to swat at them like flies.

Lala floated in the air, trying to think of a plan to get into the middle. But before she could think deeply into it, she heard a snapping sound.

"Lala!!" everyone shouted her name.

One of the whip arms grabbed her ankles and threw her into the snow. Henna and Saver tried to get save her, but monster snapped at them and cracked its arms at them. She was stuck in the sliming grips of the monster. Then the creature started to reel her in like a fish. Every time she tried to fly away or brake free, it would just reel in her faster. Soon she was dangling over the head of the tar creature. She screamed for the first time and knew she was about to be eaten. The arm let her go and she tried to fly away, but her ankles were caught again. Lala looked down to see neon green slime around her ankles, acting like a tongue. She screamed out for help, but the whip arms stopped her savers in their tracks. She was on her won. The alien tried to use her energy orbs at the monster, but it didn't work. Her friends tried throwing rocks and snow at it, but nothing was working. Inch by inch she was getting closer to its mouth, to be eaten alive.
